A few useful questions can create room for a different next step.

Use these brief reflection tools on your own or bring your answers into a coaching conversation. They are starting points, not tests or prescriptions.

01

Decision clarity check-in

When every option feels loud, begin by separating facts, priorities, and fears.

  1. What decision am I actually making?
  2. What matters most in this season?
  3. What information do I have—and what am I assuming?
  4. What is one reversible next step?
02

Next-step planner

A meaningful goal becomes more workable when the next action is specific and realistic.

  1. What outcome am I moving toward?
  2. What is the smallest useful action?
  3. When and where will I do it?
  4. What support or boundary would help?
03

Conversation preparation

Direct communication is easier when you know your purpose, request, and limit in advance.

  1. What do I want the other person to understand?
  2. What am I asking for clearly?
  3. What can I offer honestly?
  4. What will I do if the answer is no?
